Subproject 'Horse Shoe Shaped' headlamp

My bike currently has a circular headlamp housing and rim.
Original brochure photos reveal that the GT750J is supposed to be equipped with
a characteristic 'horse shoe shape' lamp bucket and chrome rim.
I have now located the bucket as a 2nd hand part and a new rim.

I will sandblast the bucket, paint a silver coat and then spray it
in Candy Jackal Blue. The other parts of the current headlamp can then
be transferred over to these parts to form a perfect horse shoe shaped headlamp.

The below shown headlamp 'bulbs' have a light pattern appropriate for the U.S market. For a museum bike this is the closest to the to the original appearance headlamps you can get. In fact it is the original type.
